Swift, the pop singer and fashion designer, has been called a “fashion pioneer” and the “Queen of Fashion” and a “design icon.”
But in recent years, she has also become a target for criticism.
A 2015 Vanity Fair article described Swift’s fashion as “stylized and contrived,” “fad-inflected,” and “shitty.”
And the fashion-focused Fashionistas blog has also taken aim at Swift.
In March, Swift appeared on the show “RuPaul’s Drag Race” and said she wore a “dumb blonde wig” in the photo.
And last year, Swift and her wife, Kim Kardashian, were asked on the red carpet of the 2013 Vanity Fair Oscar ceremony if they would have preferred to wear a more conservative style.

Swift has become a favorite target for those critical of her, but DeBueys company is hoping to use Swift’s new fashion sense and the backlash she’s received to push forward.
DeBeeys has launched a brand, Swift, for young girls called Kalkie.
The product features the singer in outfits ranging from casual to casual to “everything in between.”
The clothing includes everything from sweaters to dresses to t-shirts, as well as accessories like shoes and hats.
In an interview with Glamour, DeBieys said she’s excited to have Swift on board.
“It’s not about her fashion, it’s about Kalk.
Kalk has a lot of power in this industry and she’s making it her mission to empower young girls, and I think that is so exciting.
So that’s really exciting.”
In an Instagram video posted on Tuesday, DeBeys says Swift’s presence is something to be excited about.
“With Swift, we are really seeing the power of being a young girl in a way that we have never seen before,” she says.

Another photo shows Swift wearing a tank top with a heart and stars.
DeBeyers website has been in the news a lot this year, but it was Swift’s first time on the site’s homepage.
DeSoto said Swift’s brand is more than just a way to sell more clothing.
She says she wants Swift’s fans to use the brand’s services to get their own fashion ideas and help others make their own.
